On March 25, 2018 we (Wanyika and Niwa) were delighted to collaborate with Africultures festival at their 10th year anniversary to deliver an interactive, informative and fun filled workshop celebrating the beauty of womanhood!

Africultures Festival is the biggest annual African Festival in Australia! It is an amazing, fun, festive and exciting day taking place annually to spread African Food, Fashion, Culture, Music, Dancing, Drums and more. The celebration is a one-day event that is held in Wyatt Park, Lidcombe with the intent of bridging the cultural gap and awareness of Africans in Australia.

Our workshop was titled Your Crown Your Style Your Story. It is the first workshop in an ongoing series as we explore and share and celebrate the art of headwraps, natural hair, beauty, self-expression and empowerment. The workshop covered:

- Beauty and self image; what makes you feel beautiful? Is it what you wear or how you feel inside?

- How to wear and style your natural hair, especially for the workplace.

- How to incorporate headwraps into your everyday look, be it a catch-up with friends, date night or a glamorous night out!

- Finally, headwrap tutorials and the Headwrap challenge.

We were so thrilled to have a great turnout and participation from women of all walks of life.
